A form of self-harm, self-abandonment can manifest in various ways. Emotional self-abandonment involves avoiding or suppressing emotions, such as sadness, anger, and fear. Physical self-abandonment involves neglecting one's physical needs, such as not eating or sleeping enough, or engaging in dangerous activities. Mental self-abandonment involves ignoring one's mental health, such as avoiding therapy or not seeking help when needed.
