In my life prior to becoming a therapist I enjoyed several decades as an entrepreneur, business owner,  motivational speaker, and trainer. Always sensing there was a higher purpose for my knack for inspiring others, I went back to grad school where I completed a Master of Science in Counseling degree.

My education, experience and credentials allow me the expertise to confidently step into the arena with you, while my diverse life experiences and the sense of ease I create with people allow me to meet you where you are. I'm also a people person; I love to know, understand, and figure out what makes people tick.  I have a knack for making people feel truly "heard" and seeing the "big picture" of what's going on in their lives.

Together, these skills and personality traits will help you bring down your walls so we can get at the stuff that needs to be uncovered and re-shaped, pull you out of your slump, and propel you into massive action!

Me, as a Psychotherapist:

I am a Licensed Counselor in the state of Arizona and am also licensed to practice therapy via telehealth in the state of Florida.  I have advanced clinical training and experience in the areas of eating disorder recovery, pre-verbal (early life) trauma, trauma-based dissociation, complex trauma, recent incident trauma, navigating life transitions, and mood disorders. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP), and I use EMDR, Brainspotting, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) as three of many ways to help my clients find relief from all manner of challenges.

I use a holistic, "bottom up" approach to mental health to help clients regulate and adjust the visceral responses they experience as a result of trauma. I use a solid framework of somatic and polyvagal approaches to help my clients understand and re-wire their autonomic nervous system responses, which gives them the power to better navigate triggers and powerful emotional responses while we work on healing them from the inside out.

In my clinical practice I welcome adults (ages 18+) from all backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, physical abilities, and relationship configurations. I recognize that there are cultural, religious, and family factors that may influence your decisions and how you live your life, and I honor that understanding in our work together.  I am LGBTQIA aligned and provide a friendly, safe and accepting place for all people.

I am proud to be a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a member of Chi Sigma Iota (honor society for counselors), and am an Arizona state approved clinical Supervisor. I am also on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Counseling Association.

Me, as a Coach:

Not for the faint of heart, I am an ass-kicker and transformation and motivation powerhouse.  I'm like your new BFF who sees you and sees through you, and is unafraid to help you peel back the layers of bad habits, stinking thinking, and break your cycle of self-defeating and self-sabotaging behaviors and patterns. I have worked as a mindset coach and transformation mentor for people from all walks of life, from executives and entrepreneurs, to public figures, athletes, medical professionals, and people just like you.

Me, as an Educator:

Give me an audience and a microphone and I'm in my happy place! As a life-long learner, I also have a passion for sharing what I've learned along the way with others. I have several decades of public speaking and teaching experience ranging from intimate gatherings to audiences of over 11k.  I am currently an an associate professor for the Masters in Clinical Mental Health/Counseling program at the University of Phoenix where I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for mental health with the Counselors and Psychotherapists of tomorrow.  I maintain my commitment to excellence in counselor education and supervision as a member of the Association For Counselor Education & Supervision (ACES)

I’m also a real person:

I'm a late-50s mom to two badass young adult daughters who challenge me, inspire me and bring me immeasurable joy every day. I enjoy spending time in, on, or near the ocean, paddle-boarding, weight training, gourmet cooking (and eating), and am forever on the hunt for the perfect margarita. I love 80's alternative and 90's R&B, but will dance to just about anything. I've been a Usui Reiki/Master-Teacher for more than a quarter century and enjoy a regular practice of yoga and meditation.  Oh, and I cuss a little :).
